Our Story

Hello and welcome! I am Yvonne Denman, the photographer and artist behind Sea Pearl Studios. Originally from Austin, Texas, I’ve relocated to the West Coast to be near the ocean and have rebranded as Sea Pearl Studios. Sea pearls are rare jewels of the ocean and of the highest quality, which is what I strive for in my photography. My studio name is also an homage to my beloved french bulldog, Pearl, who passed away much too soon.

The two North Stars in my life are photography and my faith. It is always a joy to capture moments that will one day become treasured memories and heirlooms.

I’m a member of PPA, Professional Photographers of America, and I’ve been blessed to photograph hundreds of weddings and countless engagement and portrait sessions.

I believe that every image I photograph should tell a story. For weddings and engagement sessions, I shoot in a photojournalistic/ documentary style that allows me to capture the pure emotions of the subjects. For bridal portraits and studio sessions, I shoot in a more formal ‘Fine Art’ style that allows me to craft a story by carefully choosing locations, lighting, composition, styling, and posing.

While I do edit photos during post-processing, the most stunning and natural results occur when the photo is captured perfectly in-camera with minimal processing, resulting in images that are authentic and timeless.

I’m also the Co-Founder of Silvercloud Events, a brand activation, mobile photo booth and mobile bar brand.
